How many shutter panels do I need for each window? For the most part, the bigger your window is, the more shutter panels you’ll want on it. Our recommendation is to use a single panel for windows up to 26” wide, two panels for windows up to 50” wide, and four for windows up to 98” wide.Single wide panels aren’t as room-friendly as multiple separate panels. Oftentime, wider panels won’t fit flush against the wall because of their width. Multiple small panels solve that problem. For windows that you may open or shut often, you’ll be better suited with multiple panels, since they’re easier to open and have better support from the shutter frame when you do operate them.
